Who can request information about students?
Information about students can be verified by any member of the public, unless it is confidential. Read the Confidentiality and Accessibility of Student Records: Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) for information about confidentiality of student records. Verifications are often requested by potential employers.
